Duterte as president will close Congress and create revolutionary government, favors federalism

Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is not open to run as president but if “God and the universe” will place him as country’s leader he will abolish the Congress and create a revolutionary government.
“Do not appeal to me. I do not need it. I do not want it, but if the universe conspires to put me in the presidency and if I cannot attain real change within six months or a year then I will declare a revolutionary government and close Congress,” Duterte told Federal Movement for a Better Philippines in Cebu City.
Duterte noted that he favors Federal form of government to eliminate unequal distribution of resources among provinces. He said majority of national government’s resources are brought to Metro Manila and Luzon.
Federalism is a form of government based on democracy where the power to govern is divided between national and provincial or state governments. Most federal governments give the central government powers on foreign policy and national defense. United States, Australia, India, Canada, Columbia, Brazil and South Africa have federal form of government.

Former Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Reuben Canoy said Philippines needs a leader like Duterte. “We need a leader and it’s Mayor Duterte who has emerged with the way he has managed Davao. All of us agree that he is the best spokesman, if not the leader of the Council of Leaders.”

MLM Recruiting Secrets: THREE Ways to Recruit More Reps Today

MLM Recruiting Secrets: 3 Ways to Recruit More Reps

MLM recruiting usually means getting other people to buy a product/service/membership from your affiliate website on a monthly basis. And in most network marketing companies, it’s “the skill” that pays BIG money.
BUT (big but) by the numbers, the large majority of people are unable to earn a profit. In fact, most people actually lose money before they give up on their network marketing business.
The numbers are so bad it kind of makes you wonder, do MLM recruiting secrets really exist???

Like Most Network Marketers…

I started my home business using traditional MLM word-of-mouth methods, such as…
-   Contact friends and family
-   Prospect at the mall and at school (community college)
-   Message random people on Facebook
After working it for a few months, I ran out of people to talk to (no warm market). I quickly realized that “recruiting” is the skill that pays big money in most MLM (network marketing) companies. And I also understood that “recruiting” meant getting lots of people to buy the product, with the goal of building the business.
Since then…
From learning, taking repeated action, and helping others – I’ve recruited several people into my home businesses and here’s 3 “MLM recruiting secrets” that have helped me along the way.

MLM Recruiting Secrets: THREE Ways to Recruit More Reps

Make Up in Numbers What You Lack in Skill – The number one reason people fail to make money in the MLM industry is because they don’t have enough leads (prospects). Without having new prospects consistently, your posture is going to “suck”, and you’re not going to recruit a large number of team members. So, make up in NUMBERS what you lack in skill. What does that mean? Always be connecting with new people and building your list of prospects. If you are building your biz using traditional offline methods, make it your goal to connect with new people every day – put yourself in social environments where you can easily meet new people. Be aware of who’s around you in public and don’t prejudge anybody – you never know who you might bump into. If you are struggling to build your list with traditional methods, learn how to generate leads online with a simple platform such as MyLeadSystemPRO. Also, read my blog post regarding “how to generate leads online”.

Build RAPPORT with Your Prospects First - Make your marketing about your prospects. Truth is, nobody cares about your business – not even your prospects. Your prospects do not care about your company, the compensation plan, or the products. Your prospects only care about how YOU can help them… fire their boss, spend more time with their family, quit their current 9-5 job, be able to travel more, etc. Your prospects do not care about the money – they care about the FREEDOM that comes with a successful home business. So, build a relationship with your prospects before mentioning anything about your MLM business opportunity. When your prospects come to like, know, and trust you – they are much more likely to join your business. If you are building your biz online, always “lead with VALUE” – give away free training on the front-end and save your MLM biz for the e-mail follow up. Pitching your business opportunity all over the internet (social media) will not build TRUST from other people, it will actually create resistance.

Ask Questions and LISTEN to Your Prospects – Ask questions that uncover your prospect’s wants and needs. When they respond to your questions, LISTEN CAREFULLY, and then fill those needs and wants with your offer. The types of questions you ask are dependent on the type of prospect you are speaking to. If you are talking to your friends and family, ask questions that uncover their desires for more freedom – more time with family, more travel, less driving in traffic, less taking orders from a boss, etc. If you are talking to another network marketer, ask them about their struggles and listen to find out exactly what they WANT in this industry. Many network marketers, I would say the large majority, are unhappy with their current situation (no leads, no training, no support). They are looking for a leader that can teach them how to build a successful home business. If you never get yourself in-front of these people, and provide solutions to their problems, you’ll never be that leader that they decide to partner with.

MLM Recruiting Secrets to Recruit Your Friends & Family

Unless your friends and family ALREADY think of you as a successful marketer or business owner, prepare yourself for the objections. I know how this goes. It stings a little bit when your friends and family says “NO”. When I first started in network marketing, I assumed all of my friends would be JUST as excited as I was, about my network marketing business. That wasn’t the case, and it hurt when I started to hear objection after objection. Here’s the best mindset to carry with you when talking to friends and family…
Do not care about his/her decision!
If one of your prospects says,
“Is this one of those pyramid things?”
Do not take him/her serious
Remove them from your list, and then carry on. Trying to fight their objection would be like trying to fight a bear with a toothbrush – it won’t end well. Don’t be the person that says,
“Well, look at your workplace; you have a CEO at the top of the pyramid.. blah blah blah.”
They do not care for your business nor do they care for your wise comparisons.

MLM Recruiting Secrets to Recruit Other Network Marketers

The ideal prospect for your network marketing business is either…
seriously interested in network marketing, or
already involved in network marketing.
How do you recruit this “target market” (ideal prospects)?
Simple. Position yourself in front of these people and provide solutions to their common problems…
I’d say the TWO biggest “problems” faced by network marketers are:
1) lack of skills
2) lack of support
By providing solutions to these common problems, you build trust with your ideal prospects. They’ll begin to see you as the expert in your industry and someone who they feel comfortable to buy from repeatedly.

How to Recruit More Reps TODAY

I support both online and offline marketing to build your MLM business.
You’ll find people that say, “Offline marketing is the ONLY way.”
…And…
You’ll find people that say, “Online marketing is the ONLY way.”
If you ask me, I say do BOTH. Make up in numbers what you lack in skill, right?!
Also, think about this …
When you DO recruit a new rep, they may prefer offline methods or they may prefer online methods. If you know both offline and online marketing, you’ll be the leader that can provide training in both areas!
More Prospects –> More Team Members –> More FREEDOM
If you want to learn how to get more leads and recruit more reps TODAY, check out this free training. Inside, you’ll meet Ray Higdon, one of the top MLM recruiters in our industry. Ray gives you his 10 proven prospecting tricks for finding new prospects in your local area. I really like the “post it notes” strategy that Ray covers in the training (leaders attract leaders). The majority of the strategies he discusses are offline, but he also talks briefly about online marketing. Ray is very knowledgeable in both areas.

China 'copies' famed architect's design

Famed for fake bags and pirated DVDs, imitation in China reached new heights when they copy buildings. (AFP Photo)
Already famed for fake designer bags and pirated DVDs, imitation in China may have reached new heights with a set of towers that strongly resemble ones designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid.
A developer in the southwestern city of Chongqing is putting up buildings that share the distinctive round contours and white stripes of a 39-floor shopping and office complex conceived by the British-Iraqi designer and being built in Beijing.

The magazine China Intellectual Property noted that the "design sketch indeed shows certain similarities", and listed several buildings by the developer that resembled others elsewhere in China.
Satoshi Ohashi, project director at Zaha Hadid Architects for the Beijing complex, told Der Spiegel Online: "It is possible that the Chongqing pirates got hold of some digital files or renderings of the project."
It could rank among the more flagrant ripoffs in a country already notorious for imitating foreign products without permission -- but the developer of the Chongqing project, Meiquan 22nd Century, has denied any copying.
Such accusations "do not conform with the truth" and "have had a negative impact" on the company, general manager Yao Yumao said at an earlier press conference, according to a transcript published online.
Hadid was the first woman to win architecture's prestigious Pritzker prize.
Her avant-garde designs have been in high demand in China, where she has a granite and glass opera house in the southern city of Guangzhou and an arts centre under construction in Chengdu, among other projects.
China's ability to reproduce foreign products is best known for imitation luxury purses and copies of Hollywood films. But knockoffs have ranged from a three-dollar version of Kate Middleton's engagement ring to fake Apple stores and an entire Austrian village.
In 2012 a developer unveiled a recreation of the centuries-old alpine hamlet of Hallstatt, a UNESCO World Heritage site, in what the state-run news agency Xinhua called "a bold example of China's knock-off culture".

New study: Most women don't marry their 'best sex ever'

Well, this is totally depressing. According to a new study, less than half of married women consider their husbands to be their best lays.

After surveying 2,000 women, researchers not only found that most women didn't end up married to the men who gave them the best sex of their lives, but 66 percent of them would prefer to read a book, watch a movie, or take a nap than have sex with their husbands.

As for who did actually provide a mind-blowing sexual experience, 52 percent of women surveyed said that one of their exes was better in bed than their husbands.

Call us crazy, but amazing sex is a pretty big part of a relationship-especially one that's presumably supposed to last for the rest of your life.

But, we want to know what you think: Would you marry a guy who wasn't the best you'd ever had in bed? Tell us your opinion in the comments.

Mayweather Jr. hopes Pacquiao can bounce back from loss

Erstwhile rival Floyd Mayweather Jr. had some encouraging things to say for Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao, telling Ben Thompson in an interview for boxing website FightHype.com, "The only thing he can do is rejuvenate himself and bounce back like a true champion."

Pacquiao was KO'd in stunning fashion by Juan Manuel Marquez, Saturday (Sunday, PHL time), in their fourth ring encounter at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.,

"Marquez is a true champion. Manny Pacquiao is a true champion. Both of them went out there and put on a good performance, and that's a good thing for the sport of boxing," Mayweather said. "I wish Pacquiao nothing but the best. I wish he can bounce back and he can recoup from this….You have to really, really dedicate yourself to your craft. I think he's got so many different things on the outside that he worries about, you know. But it was a good thing that he was able to come into the sport, you know, piggyback off my name, and get a bunch of endorsement deals and make a good living.",

Fans have longed desire a Pacquiao-Mayweather bout, but various disagreements over drug testing and a split of the profits, have scuttled plans before they truly got off the ground. In the wake of Pacquiao's defeat, the idea of the two getting into a ring together now seems even more remote.,

"Pacquiao's focus should be trying to take a vacation, get his mind right, and get a few tune-up fights so he can bounce back," Mayweather said when asked about the chances of a fight between the two of them. "I'm not here to talk bad about Pacquiao. I feel bad for him, honestly….There's a difference in the ways you can get knocked out. When you gotta wake a guy up with smelling salts and he got a concussion and he gotta go to the hospital over night, that's crucial. I mean, that's close to the death.",

Most recently, Mayweather and Pacquiao's parties settled a defamation lawsuit filed by the Sarangani congressman attacking Mayweather's statements implying Pacquiao used performance-enhancing drugs.,

Prior to that, the Filipino pugilist had gone on ESPN and said that he was willing to give Mayweather55 percent of the profit, and take any sort of performance-enhancing drug test in order to get the fight between the two of them done. Mayweather barely gave those comments notice.,

Still, in the wake of Pacquiao's epic loss, Mayweather was left feeling concerned for the rival boxer he had long been connected to, saying, "Hopefully he's [Pacquiao] okay. My prayers go out to the Pacquiao family. I know he loves the sport of boxing, so hopefully he can bounce back." - AMD, GMA News

Typhoon Pablo is strongest storm to hit Mindanao in two decades

Residents saw an uprooted tree to clear the road after Typhoon Bopha hit Tagum City, southern Philippines December 4, 2012. Typhoon Bopha made landfall in southern Philippines early Tuesday, bringing heavy rains and strong winds, forcing 41,600 people living in coastal areas to flee their homes. Residents saw an uprooted tree to clear the road after Typhoon Bopha hit Tagum City, southern Philippines December 4, 2012. Typhoon Bopha made landfall in southern Philippines early Tuesday, bringing heavy …

With maximum sustained winds that reached 185 kph, Typhoon Pablo (Bopha) is the strongest storm to hit Mindanao in two decades, PAGASA said Tuesday.
“Base sa nakalap naming data, ang Typhoon Pablo ang pinakamalakas (na tumama sa Mindanao),” state weather forecaster Jori Loiz told GMA News Online. “Hindi pa namin naa-assess 'yung mga sumusunod sa lakas.”
He noted that very few tropical cycles hit Mindanao in a year.
“Non-comparable si Sendong dahil tropical storm lang siya,” he added.
Sendong, considered as one of the deadliest cyclones to enter the country in 12 years, hit Mindanao in December last year leaving 1,257 people dead and P1.6 billion damage in agriculture and properties.
He said they are now studying Pablo which he described as “very unusual.”
“Subject for further research is Pablo. Very unusual si Pablo sa formation. Inaalam namin kung bakit nagform at nag-intesify siya below five degrees latitude. Tinitingnan din namin kung ano ang nag-sustain sa kanya kasi nag- stationary then moved westward,” Loiz said.
He said a cyclone as strong as Pablo could uproot trees and destroy houses made of light materials.
PAGASA earlier said Typhoon Pablo may bring rainfall of 15 to 30 mm per hour (heavy to intense) within its 600-km diameter.
Pablo made landfall in Davao Oriental before 5 a.m. Tuesday packed with maximum sustained winds of 175 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 210 kph.
Despite Pablo's intensity, Loiz expects lower fatalities and damage to properties than that caused by Sendong.
“Kaya malaki ang pinsala noon e hindi handa ang tao, hindi aware. Isa pa, gabi tumama si Sendong, tulog ang mga tao nung biglang tumaas ang tubig,” he said.
“Ngayon, nag-warning kami one week before pa. Handa na ang mga tao. Isa pa, kung tatama siya sa Cagayan River, wala na halos mga bahay dun,” Loiz added.
At least 7,011 Mindanao residents or 1,303 families from Regions 10, 11 and 13 were evacuated hours before Pablo made landfall. Forced evacuations were also carried out in Lingig and Hinatuan late Monday.
Two fatalities
Meanwhile, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said at least two residents in Mindanao were reported dead due to bad weather conditions brought by Pablo.
NDRRMC head Benito Ramos said they received reports that the latest fatality was killed after being crushed by a falling tree.
"May nakamotor, nadaganan ng kahoy habang nakamotor sa kalsada (sa) Misamis Oriental," he said in an interview on dzBB radio.
He said the initial reports reaching him identified the fatality as Jigger Gumunit, 30.
A 50-year-old woman in Manay town in Davao Oriental, meanwhile, was killed after a coconut tree fell on her.
Ramos also said a landslide was reported in New Bataan in Compostela Valley but there was no initial report of casualties.
Also, he said power remained knocked out in Davao Oriental and Surigao del Sur.
Elsewhere in Mindanao, the power outage caused by Typhoon Pablo prompted residents in Cagayan de Oro City to flock to hotels.
Many of the relatively well-off checked in at hotels even as there was no timetable on when power would be restored, radio dzBB reported.
Some malls in the city were open but had few visitors for the day, the report added.
Power was knocked out in parts of Mindanao on Monday night, and in other parts of the island before dawn Tuesday.
Loiz said Pablo is expected to be outside the Philippine area of responsibility Friday as it moves slower at 20 kph.
“Bumagal siya. Kanina 20 kph na lang kaya made-delay ang paglabas pero 'yun ay kung hindi magbabago ang kanyang bilis at direksyon,” he said.
Earlier in the day, Pablo was moving at 26 kph and is expected to be 180 km southwest of Roxas City by Wednesday morning.
He added that Metro Manila should expect rains Wednesday night still due to Pablo. —KG, GMA News

LRT lady guard's side of the story (AMALAYER)

A little patience, please, the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Authority seemed to say, as it asked passengers to bear with procedures to ensure security and safety of passengers.

This, as a video of an encounter between an irate passenger and a security guard named Sharon Mae Casinas at the train's Santolan Station has drawn mixed reaction from Pinoys online.

"Based on investigation LG (lady guard) Casinas requested the female passenger to put her bag at the conveyor of the x-ray machine for scanning but the latter somehow missed the procedure and hurriedly entered the station," the LRTA said in a statement late Wednesday.

LRTA security personnel are instructed to strictly implement the "No inspection, no entry" policy to ensure the safety of passengers, LRTA officer-in-charge Emerson Benitez said in a statement.

However, security guards are asked to "refrain from making side comments and facial expressions that may be offensive," he added.

The LRTA statement said Casinas "apologizes for whatever action that she had committed deemed offensive by the passenger concerned."

Benitez then said Casinas "displayed the right attitude expected or a security guard, that is, to be courteous and tolerant in spite of the embarrassment she got from the irate passenger."

Still, he noted: "It is inevitable that during the implementation of security measures, passengers encounter inconveniences. They should understand that the Authority cannot compromise the safety and security of the riding public."

Yahoo! Southeast Asia is still trying to reach the passenger for comment.

Girl in viral #Amalayer video speaks up

A video of a passenger berating a guard in a train station went viral on Facebook Tuesday night, getting more than 68,000 shares and 17,000 comments.

The hashtag #AMALAYER, which came from the passenger's pronunciation of "I'm a liar," even trended on Twitter, both worldwide and in the Philippines.

In a video sent by YouScooper Gregory Paulo Llamoso, the woman was seen giving the guard a tongue-lashing.

Llamoso said the incident occurred at Light Railway Transit (LRT) Santolan Station on Tuesday. The woman was later identified as Paula Jamie Salvosa.

Reached by GMA News, Salvosa said she is willing to resolve the issue with the security guard, though it was the lady guard who raised her voice initially.

"Sabi n'ya sa 'kin, sumigaw, 'Miss, anong problema mo?' Sabi ko sa kanya, you are my problem!" she said.

Salvosa added that the guard, identified as Sharon Mae Casinas, grabbed her arm. "Sabi ko, bakit? You have no right to drag me! Nagagalit ako kasi she grabbed me!"

Salvosa said she would not have reacted that way if the guard had treated her well.

For her part, Casinas said she asked the woman to put her bag though the X-ray machine for proper inspection. However, Salvosa began raising her voice.

Casinas, on the other hand, said she remained calm despite the humiliation. "Nagkulong po [ako] sa kwarto sa sobrang kahihiyan," she added.

Salvosa said she is a victim of cyberbullying.

She also denied that she owns the Twitter account name @paulaharlow, as she has already deactivated her Twitter and Facebook accounts.

"I want to be an example na may karapatan naman tayo. Cyberbullying ito," she said. — BM, GMA News
